My Health Record Changes
By the end of 2018, a My Health Record with be created for every Australian unless they choose not to have one. People who choose NOT to have a My Health Record will be able to register not to have one during a three-month opt out period between 16 July and 15 Ocotber.

My Health Record is an online summary of your health information. Healthcare providers like doctors, specialists and hospital staff may be able to see your My Health Record online, at any time with your permission, if they need to such as in an accident or emergency.
It is your choice who sees your My Health Record, and what’s in it.
You don’t have to do anything. A secure My Health Record will be created for you by the end of 2018 if you have a Medicare or Dept of Veterans Affairs card.
